Hello everyone! So I have been hard at work on multiple projects, and I’m happy to announce the release schedule for the rest of this year:
TRILOGY EDITION of Books One-Three of The Fae War Chronicles- October 2016 (Kindle Release Only)
THE LETHE STONE (Book Four of The Fae War Chronicles)- November 2016 (Kindle and Paperback)
MIDNIGHT’S KNIGHT (A Fae War Chronicles Origins Novella)- November 2016 (Kindle Release Only)
The Trilogy Edition of The Fae War Chronicles will contain Books One, Two and Three in one omnibus-style Kindle ebook, along with a sneak peek of THE LETHE STONE, Book Four of the Fae War Chronicles. Another origins novella may be added to the schedule, most likely in December.
Why a Trilogy Edition, you may be asking, because technically the series is still ongoing. Valid question! The first three books are written in first person from Tess’s perspective. With the fourth book, I needed something a bit different as a writer, both to challenge myself as an artist and to stimulate my creativity, so I decided to write the fourth book in third person. Each chapter focuses on a different character, weaving together perspectives in order to create a faster-paced book that still maintains the tone of the first three novels. So, in a sense, the first three novels are one story arc: Tess tells of her experiences as she becomes the Bearer and journeys to destroy Malravenar. Therefore it made sense to me to bundle them into one format for readers who are fans of convenience.
Novellas have offered me a unique chance to explore some parts of the Fae world in a shorter yet no less satisfying format; MIDNIGHT’S KNIGHT features young Finnead as a squire and Ramel as a page in Queen Mab’s Court, before the kidnapping of the Crown Princess and the rift between the Seelie and Unseelie Courts deepened. I feel a novella offers me a chance to really sharpen my writing as an author, while also offering readers a “slice of life” glimpse into some of their favorite characters. As of right now, I am planning on two more novellas in this series, though I haven’t completely decided which characters to explore in the next two. If you have any strong opinions, please feel free to comment below.
As always, thank you for stopping by and supporting independent authors and artists. It brings me such joy to share my characters and my creations with all of you.
